Capybara Cat House – The One They Refuse to Leave
Some cat beds get climbed in once and forgotten. This one becomes a permanent residency.
Meet the Capybara Cat House. Shaped like the internet's most beloved gentle giant, and built with a hard polystyrene foam inner shell that means it never goes flat, never loses its shape, and always looks exactly like a round, warm, wonderfully weird capybara sitting in your living room.
We've watched cats disappear inside and refuse to come out. We've seen owners try to coax them with treats. One brave mum tried to pull her kitten free. The kitten did not budge. The capybara had claimed them.
This is that house.
🐾 Personalise it — the engraved name tag is included FREE
1️⃣ Choose The Signature above — a soft beige PU leather tag, no extra cost
2️⃣ Type your pet's name in the name box and watch the preview appear
3️⃣ Add to basket — that's it. We laser-engrave it in warm brown lettering, stitch it on in-house, and post from Essex
Prefer it plain? Choose The Classic and it comes without a tag. If anything about the name looks unclear on our end, we'll email you to double-check before we engrave — your pet's name is safe with us.
🏠 Why it outlasts every other cat house:
✔️ Hard foam inner shell — holds its capy-shape wash after wash, year after year (most cat houses collapse; this one doesn't)
✔️ Spacious enough for proper sprawling — roomy for cats of all sizes, from sleek adventurers to fluffy chonks
✔️ Striking capybara design — a home décor statement that makes guests say "what is that?" and then immediately want one
✔️ Make it theirs — Classic (no tag), or The Signature: a soft beige PU leather name tag, laser-engraved with warm brown lettering and stitched on in-house — included free
✔️ Packs flat for delivery, springs into shape in seconds — no tools, no fuss, no YouTube tutorials
✔️ Soft outer, structured inner — the perfect combination of cosy and sturdy
📏 Dimensions: H 50 × W 46 × D 48cm | Weight: 2.5kg
🎨 Material: Felt / Polyester over polystyrene foam shell | Colour: Warm capybara tan
Cat tested. Cat obsessed. Mum-proof.

This is where the capybara went viral. Watch real cats claim their houses — and the humans who never stood a chance.
Questions cats can't answer (so we did) 🐾
Will my chonky cat actually fit?
Yes — at 50cm tall and 46cm wide, it's roomy enough for large and fluffy cats to turn around, sprawl, and claim it properly. At pet shows we've watched cats of every size settle in.
Can I wash it?
The soft felt/polyester outer can be washed, and the hard foam shell keeps its capybara shape wash after wash — no sad, saggy cat bed here.
How does the name tag work?
Choose The Signature above, type your pet's name in the name box, and you'll see a live preview. We laser-engrave it in warm brown lettering on a soft beige PU leather tag and stitch it on in-house, in Essex — free with your Capybara House.
Does it arrive flat?
It packs flat for delivery and springs into shape in seconds — no tools, no assembly, no YouTube tutorials required.
How quickly will it arrive?
Plain houses are dispatched the next working day and usually arrive within 2–4 working days, free to UK mainland addresses. Personalised tags are engraved carefully, so please allow 3–7 working days before dispatch. 30-day returns if it's unused (and personalised items are covered if faulty).
Why the Capybara Cat House?
Not just cute. Cleverly made.
Polystyrene Foam Shell
Warm in winter, cool in summer. Lightweight but structurally strong. The engineering your cat doesn't know about but benefits from every nap.
Round Enclosed Shape
Cats feel safest in enclosed, round spaces. This isn't a design gimmick — it's feline psychology built into furniture.
Show-Tested Favourite
Seen at The Cat Show Live, Supreme Cat Show, Felinology and more. Real cats at real shows climbed in, settled down, and refused to leave.
Irresistible to Cats
We've watched dozens of cats encounter this house. The pattern: sniff, enter, stay. Some cats who reject every bed will claim this one in minutes.
UK Dispatch
Posted from the UK. No long waits, no mystery customs fees. Your cat's new favourite thing arrives quickly.
Gift-Worthy
The cat gift that makes people say "Where did you find this?" Photographs beautifully. Looks charming in any room.
Your cat already knows it wants this. You're just catching up.

Absolutely love this cat house 🥹🤎 It’s even cuter in person and feels really cosy and well made. Sophie, one of the cats I look after, was straight in exploring it and looked so comfortable tucked away inside.
It’s such a fun design but still feels practical as a proper little hideaway for cats. Really happy with it and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting something a bit different for their cat. 🐾
Lovely item and amazing customer service. Highly recommend.
High quality and the cats love it so much!
