The problem

Most cat mats fail. Quietly.

A beige rectangle, slid under the sofa, ignored by the cat. Plastic fibers dressed up as sisal. A backing that scoots on first contact. Catalogue design with no soul. She knows. She has already chosen the sofa.

Plastic in disguise

Most "sisal" mats are synthetic fibre dressed up. Your cat can tell. So can your nose, by the end of the week.

Slippery backings

It scoots across the floor on the first scratch. She redirects to the sofa. The project, quietly, ends.

Where ours stands (literally)

The legend (a small one)

Before the stars knew where to sit, a small cat climbed onto the highest rooftop in the sleeping town, and began to scratch.

The first paw print became a constellation.
The second became a face.
The third, a star.

And the town below, who had been told the sky was finished, learned it wasn't.

She has been on duty ever since.

Questions, gently answered

What is the mat made of?

Natural sisal scratching surface, anti-slip latex backing, printed with non-toxic ink. Hook-and-loop fixing strips are included in the box.

How big is it?

40 cm wide × 60 cm tall. Big enough for a proper stretch and a roll. Two cats can argue over it diplomatically.

Will it actually save my sofa?

That's the plan. Place it sofa-side or on the carpet, fix it down with the included strips, and let her redirect her ambitions.

How do I clean it?

Vacuum gently against the grain. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Do not soak. Let it air dry flat.

Is it safe for kittens?

Yes. Non-toxic ink, natural sisal, no loose fibres at the edge. Supervise the first session as you would with any new toy.
